Camp Iti Kana/Camp Tiak
Girls will experience the joys of outdoor cooking with Dutch Ovens and Cooking on Coals, while kicking back on Friday and Saturday night around the campfire, engaging in traditional Girl Scout camping activities. Girls can choose to bring their own tents or sleep in the cabins. Saturday, girls will be packing lunch and headed to Camp Tiak (transportation is the troop leader/parent responsibility…3 miles south of Camp Iti Kana) where they will participate in the High and Low elements of the ropes course.
Troops must maintain girl/adult ratios. Individual girls must be accompanied by an adult.
$50 for Cadette Girl Scouts and above
(includes meals, lodging, COPES Course and patch)

Get ready for a day of fun and competition at the Girl Scout Olympics! You will participate with your team in a variety of fun and challenging events! Some events are “Real Sports,” some are “Wacky Sports” and some will be based on the Minute to Win It game show!
Participants must be registered Girl Scouts and must be accompanied by an adult. Troops should also maintain girl/adult ratio. Bring a sack lunch and drinks and tailgate or purchase a sack lunch/drink for $4 (pre-pay online, ticket will be given at registration). Water stations will be available throughout the day.
Troop leaders, parents and tag-a-longs are free, however, everybody attending must register.

This training is for adults and girls 15 years and over. Those who pass the class will earn their Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. This course requires on-line prerequisite course work. Please print and bring with you the online certificates as proof of completion. Once you are registered, we will send you the link for the online course work. Please bring a sack lunch.

Learn the skills necessary to take your troop camping on your own! This course is not required to attend council sponsored events, but it is a requirement for you to take your troop or service unit camping. The training will allow participants to teach girls safe principles for hiking, building fires, and preparing meals. Other basic skills explored will be knot tying, basic map and compass reading, and care of the natural environment. You will experience outdoor cooking and using a variety of shelters. During this training you will also learn the skills to needed to guide your girls through the Outdoor Living Skills patch program from the American Camp Association designed to help girls learn basic outdoor skills.

Earn the certification that you need to take your troop/group canoeing. You need to be a good swimmer and to be comfortable in a canoe/kayak and in lake water. This course requires on-line prerequisite course work. Please print and bring with you the online certificates as proof of completion. Once you are registered, we will send you the link for the online course work. You should bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water shoes or old tennis shoes that can get wet and a sack lunch. This training is for adults and girls 15 years and over.

Counselor-in-Training is a leadership course open to girls who are interested in preparing for a position on a camp staff, learning job skills and having the best time of their lives! This two year program gives girls the opportunity to develop their camp skills, learn leadership techniques, and explore counselor responsibilities and camp operations. You will learn how to help Susie through her homesickness, work with a unit of Juniors, find Sophie’s lost sock and get a unit of sixteen Brownies to remember their water bottles for the hike, all while everyone (including you) has fun!
Participants will participate in a one day session on May 13 at Camp Wahi and 8 hours of online line webinars prior to staff training. Staff training will include CITs and will be held May 29-June 4 at Camp Iti Kana. CITs will then return to camp for a practice session. Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory.

Meet the Superheroes of Girl Scouts! What’s your superpower? Play Super Senses and the Bold and the Brave and participate in other fun activities to find out. Discover your inner hero as you make your very own costume! Each superhero has a superpower representing a part of the Girl Scout Law.

You will spend your days developing leadership skills while working with younger girls in units, leading songs and games, helping with cookouts. Join us for a one day general training session May 13 at Camp Wahi, then participate in the first Troop camp June 2-4th at Camp Iti Kana for your first hands-on training experience. Camp Aides will select their return practice session (included in the training fee) at the time of registration. Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory. Completion of this course will enable you to apply to help out with council events during the school year and in future summers.

Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts, come discover what the highest award in Girl Scouting is all about. Attend this meeting to ask questions, see past projects, and get the guidelines for earning the Gold Award. Troop leaders, parents, and advisers are also encouraged to attend. For any Girl Scout wanting to pursue their Gold Award, it is mandatory that you take the Gold Award training.
